🎟️ BuzzTickets Help

Everything you need to buy tickets, run your event, or work the door.

🛒 How to Buy a Ticket

1

Find the event page

Go to the event link shared by the promoter, or find the event at itsbuzzing.com.

2

Select your ticket tier and click Buy

Choose the ticket type (General, VIP, etc.), enter your name and email, and proceed to checkout.

3

Pay with card via Stripe

Enter your payment details. Payment is processed by Stripe — your card info is never stored by It's Buzzing.

4

Get your ticket by email immediately

A confirmation email arrives within seconds with your QR code, confirmation code, and a link to view and print your ticket.

📱 Your Ticket — What You Get

After purchase you receive:

  • QR code — scan this at the door for fast entry. Screenshot it or keep the email handy.
  • Confirmation code — an 8-character code (like A3F92B1C). If your QR won't scan, the door staff can type this in manually.
  • Ticket link — a permanent URL to your digital ticket. You can open it on any device, print it, or download the QR image.

🖨️ How to Print or Download Your Ticket

1

Open your ticket link

Click "View & Download Ticket" in your confirmation email, or go to the URL saved in your email.

2

Print

Tap the "🖨️ Print Ticket" button. The page is formatted for printing — buttons and footers are hidden automatically.

3

Download QR only

Tap "⬇️ Download QR Code" to save just the QR image to your phone or computer.

💡 Tip: Screenshot your QR code before the show so you don't need wifi or cell service at the venue.

↩️ Refunds

  • If the event is canceled: You receive a full refund to your original payment method within 3–10 business days. It's Buzzing initiates this automatically.
  • For active events: Refund availability depends on the organizer's policy, shown on the event page before you buy.
  • Platform fee ($0.75 + 5% of ticket price): Non-refundable in all cases. This covers processing, fraud prevention, and platform operations.

❓ Can't Find Your Ticket?

🚀 Getting Set Up to Sell Tickets

1

Create your It's Buzzing account

Sign up at itsbuzzing.com. Choose "Business" account type.

2

Complete your promoter profile

Go to itsbuzzing.com/events/promoter-setup. Fill out your business info, experience, support contact, emergency contact, and default policies. Takes about 3 minutes.

3

Connect your bank account via Stripe

After the profile form, you're redirected to Stripe Connect. Stripe verifies your identity, business, and bank account. It's Buzzing never sees your SSN or bank details — Stripe handles all of that.

4

Create your event

Once Stripe is connected and verified, your dashboard unlocks. Add your event: title, date, venue, description, ticket tiers, and ticket quantities.

5

Publish and share

Hit Publish. Copy your event link and share it everywhere — your event page is live immediately.

📊 Your Promoter Dashboard

After logging in, go to My Events to see:

  • Tickets sold and revenue collected in real time
  • Guest list — downloadable as CSV
  • Check-in stats on the day of the show
  • Payout schedule and reserve breakdown
  • Refund requests and chargeback alerts

🔑 Day-of-Show: What to Share With Your Door Team

The night before your event, find your Staff Check-In Link in your event dashboard. It looks like:

itsbuzzing.com/events/checkin/YOUR-KEY-HERE

Send that link to every person working the door. They open it on their phone — no login needed. For security, don't post this link publicly.

You can also see a live attendance count at:

itsbuzzing.com/events/checkin/YOUR-KEY-HERE/stats

❌ If You Need to Cancel Your Event

  • Contact [email protected] immediately
  • It's Buzzing will initiate full refunds to all ticket buyers from the reserve balance
  • Platform fees ($0.75 + 5% per ticket) are non-refundable to the platform
  • Stripe processing fees ($0.30 per ticket) are non-refundable per Stripe policy
  • You are responsible for notifying your attendees through your own channels

📱 Opening the Scanner

Your promoter will give you a link that looks like:

itsbuzzing.com/events/checkin/F406BED3B775

Open it on your phone or tablet. No login, no app download. It loads instantly in any browser.

💡 Add it to your home screen before the event so you can open it instantly even with spotty wifi.

📷 Scanning a QR Code

1

Tap "Start Camera"

Allow camera access when the browser asks. The scanner opens immediately.

2

Point at the buyer's QR code

Hold the phone steady over their screen or printed ticket. The scanner reads it automatically — no tapping required.

3

Read the result and act

A result card appears within 1–2 seconds. See color guide below.

4

Tap "Admit" to check them in

This marks the ticket as used. It cannot be scanned again for entry.

🚦 What the Colors Mean

Green — Valid Ticket Paid, first time scanning. Shows buyer name, tier, and quantity. Tap Admit.
Yellow — Already Checked In This ticket was already scanned. Shows the time it was first admitted. Do not admit again unless you know it's the same person.
Red — Invalid Ticket Ticket not found, unpaid, or for a different event. Do not admit. Ask for a different ticket or send them to the promoter.

⌨️ Manual Entry (No Camera)

If the camera won't open, the buyer's screen is cracked, or they only have their email, use the manual entry box below the camera. It accepts either:

  • Confirmation code — 8 characters, uppercase, shown in the email and on the ticket page (e.g. A3F92B1C)
  • Full ticket token — the longer UUID if the buyer reads it from their ticket URL
1

Ask for their confirmation code

It's in the confirmation email and on their ticket page — 8 uppercase characters like A3F92B1C.

2

Type it into the manual entry box and tap Look Up

The box is directly below the camera area. Both the short code and the full token work.

3

Read the result and admit or deny

Same green/yellow/red system as scanning. Tap Admit if valid.

🔑 If Your Staff URL Gets Out (Key Rotation)

If the check-in URL is shared publicly or you suspect unauthorized access:

1

Log in to the promoter dashboard

Go to itsbuzzing.com, log in, and open your event's manage screen.

2

Tap 🔑 Rotate Check-In

The old URL stops working immediately. A new URL appears on screen.

3

Share the new URL with door staff only

Text the new URL directly to each person working the door. All existing tickets still work — only the staff access key changes.

⚡ Tips for a Fast Door

  • Have at least 2 phones scanning at the same time for larger events
  • Ask buyers to have their ticket open before they reach the door — not searching their email in line
  • Brightness all the way up on the buyer's screen makes scanning much faster
  • The confirmation code is your backup — if a scan fails 3 times, switch to manual entry
  • The live stats page on a separate device lets the promoter monitor attendance in real time

💵 Platform Fee

It's Buzzing charges a platform fee on every paid ticket:

Formula5% of ticket price + $0.75 per ticket
Example — $30 ticket$1.50 + $0.75 = $2.25 fee · Organizer nets $27.75
Example — $10 ticket$0.50 + $0.75 = $1.25 fee · Organizer nets $8.75
Example — $100 ticket$5.00 + $0.75 = $5.75 fee · Organizer nets $94.25
Free ticketsNo fee

Platform fees are earned at the time of purchase and are non-refundable. Stripe's card processing fee (~2.9% + $0.30) is separate and deducted by Stripe before funds reach the platform.

📅 Payout Schedule

Ticket revenue is held in reserve on the platform to protect buyers. Funds are released to the organizer's connected bank account on this schedule:

30%
Released 5 hours before the event start time
20%
Released the day after the event concludes
50%
Released 7 days after the event concludes

Payouts go directly to your connected bank account via Stripe. You must complete Stripe Connect onboarding before any payout can be released.

🔗 Stripe Connect — Identity Verification

It's Buzzing uses Stripe Connect to handle all money movement. Stripe — not It's Buzzing — collects and verifies:

  • Legal name and date of birth
  • Business address and EIN or SSN
  • Bank account for payouts
  • Government ID if required by Stripe's risk systems

It's Buzzing never sees or stores your SSN, bank account numbers, or identity documents. This verification is required by U.S. federal law (Bank Secrecy Act) for payouts over $600.

Once verified, Stripe shows a "charges_enabled" and "payouts_enabled" status in your promoter dashboard. Ticket creation is only unlocked after both are active.

🔄 Refunds and Chargebacks

  • Canceled event: Full refund to all buyers initiated automatically from the reserve balance
  • Buyer-requested refund (active event): Subject to organizer's stated refund policy
  • Chargeback filed by buyer: Stripe handles the dispute process. Funds may be held pending resolution. Repeated chargebacks affect your Stripe account standing.
  • Platform fee: Never refunded, even on canceled events
