Refunds

If an event is canceled, buyers receive a full refund to their original payment method. Refund timing is typically 3–10 business days.

Please note that the following fees are non-refundable:

  • Platform fees: 5% of ticket price + $0.75 per ticket
  • Stripe processing fee: $0.30 per ticket

Platform fees are earned at the time of purchase and are not returned for any reason. These fees cover transaction processing, fraud prevention, customer support, and platform operations.

Refund Policy for Active Events

For events that are not canceled, refund availability is set by the event Organizer and will be clearly displayed on the event page before you purchase.

Common refund policies include:

  • No Refunds — Ticket purchases are final
  • Refunds Until 72 Hours Before Event — Refund requests must be submitted 72 hours before the scheduled start time
  • Flexible Refunds — Full or partial refunds available up to a specified deadline

Always check the event page before purchase to review the specific refund policy that applies to your tickets.

Payout & Reserve Schedule

Organizer payouts follow a protected schedule to ensure buyer refund coverage. This reserve system protects you as a buyer and ensures funds are available if a problem arises.

30% Released 5 hours before event start time
20% Released the day after the event concludes
50% Released 7 days after the event concludes

Event Cancellations

If an Organizer cancels an event, It's Buzzing will initiate automatic refunds on their behalf. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method.

In rare cases where an Organizer lacks sufficient funds to cover refunds, It's Buzzing will communicate the status to all affected buyers within 48 hours.

Important: Do NOT file a bank dispute while a refund is already in progress. Doing so delays your refund and may result in account restrictions.

Postponements & Material Changes

Postponements: If an event is postponed and no new date is set within 30 days, It's Buzzing may issue automatic refunds to affected buyers.

If the new date is more than 90 days from the original date, It's Buzzing may also issue automatic refunds.

Material Changes: A "Material Change" includes:

  • Headliner or key performer change
  • Venue relocation of more than 20 miles
  • Date change

Any Material Change may be treated as a cancellation at It's Buzzing's sole discretion, which may result in automatic refunds.

Disputes & Chargebacks

Filing a bank dispute or chargeback while a refund is already in progress will delay your refund and is strictly discouraged.

Consequences of chargebacks: Any buyer who files a chargeback while a refund is in progress may be permanently banned from the It's Buzzing platform.

If a double-recovery occurs (you receive both a refund and a chargeback credit), It's Buzzing reserves the right to invoice you for:

  • The $15 dispute fee charged by our payment processor
  • The duplicate refund amount

Safety & Fraud

It's Buzzing is committed to preventing fraud and maintaining a safe platform for all users.

Fraudulent activity — including abusive disputes, resale in violation of terms, identity theft, or payment fraud — results in permanent account removal without refund.

It's Buzzing reserves the right to deny service to any buyer engaging in bad-faith conduct or violating these terms.
