Derby City Logistics launches AI-optimized last-mile delivery platform for bourbon distilleries and specialty food producers across the tri-state region.
Derby City Logistics today announced the launch of DeliverY, an artificial intelligence-powered last-mile delivery platform designed specifically for bourbon distilleries and specialty food producers throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee.
The platform addresses persistent supply chain challenges facing the region's premium beverage and artisanal food sectors by automating route optimization, real-time inventory tracking and predictive delivery scheduling. DeliverY integrates with existing warehouse management systems and provides detailed delivery analytics to improve operational efficiency.
"We recognized a critical gap in logistics solutions for our region's most distinctive industries," said Marcus Chen, Chief Executive Officer of Derby City Logistics. "DeliverY combines local expertise with cutting-edge technology to ensure that whether you're shipping award-winning bourbon or small-batch preserves, your products arrive on time and in perfect condition."
The platform's machine learning algorithms analyze historical delivery data, weather patterns and traffic conditions to generate optimal routes in real time. Features include temperature-controlled vehicle monitoring—essential for temperature-sensitive spirits and gourmet foods—geolocation tracking, digital proof of delivery and customizable reporting dashboards.
Derby City Logistics conducted a six-month pilot program with five regional distilleries and food producers, resulting in an average 23 percent reduction in delivery times and 18 percent fuel cost savings.
DeliverY is immediately available to new and existing Derby City Logistics customers. The company will host free platform demonstrations throughout the tri-state region beginning next month.
